An Elegant Celebration for Michelle + Brent

Planning Michelle and Brent’s wedding holds a special place in my heart because I planned Michelle’s brother’s wedding the year before and I just adore the whole family! They are so loving, so kind and a ton of fun! Honestly, they’ve become like family to me.

When we started planning their wedding, Michelle, Brent and families wanted the wedding to be an intimate, formal affair with a traditional four course plated dinner at the Sheraton Wall Centre. Michelle’s family actually completed the landscaping design when the property first opened so it made perfect sense to have their children’s weddings here.

The couple were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Helen’s church in Burnaby, a church that Michelle’s family have and still attend today.  Michelle walked down the aisle in an all lace dress and custom handmade cape by Bisou Bridal while Brent and his grooms men wore custom suits made in Montreal by a close family relative.

Michelle and Brent dreamed of white and gold in every detail of their special day, and Maurizio and David of Debut Event Design made their dreams a reality.  At the reception, 300 candles lit the room along with endless roses, hydrangeas and orchids on each table setting.  The bridal party were seated under miles and miles of white and tan draping, with crystal chandeliers above them and gold gobo swirls that lit up the walls.  Famous Players lit up the dance floor with a killer dance party, and everyone indulged in food, drink and dance into the wee hours of the morning!

It was truly a wonderful day full of love, family, fun and laughter…. One I will never forget.

With love,

Elisa
